May's Third Friday in Wyandotte!

Thank you to all the volunteers who helped make our first Third Friday a success! A special thank you to Natalie Rankine and the PTO from McKinley School for volunteering! Participants enjoyed decorating the salvaged bricks from the old Wyandotte Theater, which will be auctioned off during June's Third Friday. Thank you to Jaye Thomas and the bands Apartment Four and Rogue Satellite for performing!

Painting the bricks from the old Wyandotte Theater, which will be auctioned off during June's Third Friday. All proceeds will benefit McKinley School in Wyandotte.

Fun with sidewalk chalk and sidewalk chalk paint in the alley next to the old Masonic Temple in Wyandotte.

New arts group adds spunk to creative scene

A new arts organization is adding a little spunk to the area's creative scene.

Made up of professionals in the visual and performing arts, the Spunky Monkey Art Association hopes it will add an energetic, creative voice to the Downriver arts community.

Have a HeART Event was a Success!

We are pleased to announce that our first event was a success! Approximately 75 adults and children participated in the progressive-style event. We are looking forward to offering programs soon – please continue to check our blog for information!

I would like to thank Spunky’s Board of Directors, who planned and executed this event flawlessly: Melanie Dinwiddie, Robert Duha, Ándrea Shipp and Alison Swanson.

A BIG thank you to our volunteers, without whose help this event would not be possible!
